Stampin’ Up!® Demonstrator Karen Robinson | Jar of Love #GDP075
I’m really leaving it to the last-minute to play along with the Global Design Project challenge for this week but my card turned out exactly as I’d pictured it in my head – that very rarely happens – so I just couldn’t let it go to waste 🙂
I used the Jar of Love stamp set to create my fireflies dancing through shadowy grass and lots of Gold Embossing Powder. I really don’t use embossing powder often enough and I don’t know why, it’s like magic every time and I love the effect it creates.
The foliage is stamped in Basic Black on Night of Navy cardstock and then I lightly drew a heart shape and stamped my fireflies in VersaMark ink and heat embossed them using Gold Embossing Powder.
I added the sentiment and a few more fireflies afterwards and then coloured all the fireflies with Clear Wink of Stella for some extra sparkle.
I really like to have a light inner layer for writing so used Whisper White inside and a few more fireflies meandering across the bottom.
I hope you like my take on this week’s challenge. This is such a quick and easy card to make, but sweet and super shimmery, just how I like it 🙂
See you soon!
Cheers,
Karen
