I loved this series in high school. I know they're not great literature, but they're fun to read, and have a nice blend of romance and action/suspense. I don't like this prequel quite as much as the rest of the series, mostly because Sara and Adam aren't my favorite characters from these books (and I've never been able to visualize them). That being said, it's still a good captivating story and I do really like Dave - I feel like this book gives you some added insight into his character that comes in handy when you read the next book. 3.5 out of 5 stars.
