it was amazing

As always, a superb read from Elizabeth Peters.

One of the striking elements in this volume is that Ramses has suddenly grown up before our eyes -- and before Amelia even realized it about her son too. It's disconcerting to see him becoming a young adult -- I'm so used to him being about 6 and just babbling away with questions and those dastardly long words he likes to use. Ha! I am excited to meet this maturing Ramses again, and soon.

I really loved the "Manuscript H" sections, which provides us with more details from one of the other character's points-of-view. An interesting little literary trick.

I look forward to the coming volumes, wherein the children are becoming more grown-up. This changes the whole dynamic of the plot, as Ramses, Nefret, and David can now assist in the archaeological work.
