Coffee Talk Confession

I hope everyone had an enjoyable Thanksgiving feast, I know I did!  Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday.  It’s the time of year that I get to spend with family near and far.  This year didn’t disappoint, other than the weather.  Hot hot hot…76 was the high.  Can you believe it?

I wasn’t sure how things would turn out this year since we had a last minute change in plans.  Traditionally, the family meets in Charlotte and this year we went to my hometown so Grandma wouldn’t have to travel.  Grandma’s house used to be the place we all gathered when I was a little girl and over the years, plans diverged.  I was happy to see that everyone was able to make it.  I had so much fun, I forgot to take pictures.

Anyway, here’s a little coffee talk confession.

It’s the day after Thanksgiving and I have no left overs.  What gives?  I didn’t make it to the kitchen to fix a plate in time.  It seemed like we may have had less food this year or just more men present gobbling it all up.  I don’t know, but no turkey leftovers for me this year.

I know we just celebrated Thanksgiving, but I’m secretly waiting for Christmas break.  Aren’t all educators?  Hehehe…

I’m ready for the break, but not all the Christmas cartoons that are taking up my usual scheduled programs.  And the radio had Christmas songs on yesterday…I wasn’t ready for it.  So I changed the station.

I can’t seem to find a thing to write about.  I would like to do a Thank You Notes post, but don’t have any pictures to post from the week.

My son will be graduating from college next month and I don’t have a clue as to  what to get him for a gift.  Suggestions please!

I’ve been stressing more than my son as to his plans after graduation.  Not sure where he’ll be since he officially hasn’t been offered a job yet.  Ughhhh….the AGONY!!!

Until next time…

  1. Sippin’ my coffee. 🙂
Suggestions… hmmm…. maybe a watch? And maybe a sweet note about time?
I’m ready for break too. I need it.
We didn’t have much Thanksgiving leftovers. Plus I didn’t cook this year, my family cooked for me since I wasn’t feeling well. 🙂
    XOXO

  2. How sweet of them to cook for you, but hate that you were ill. Hope you are feeling better. I have thought of the best gift. He recently pledged a fraternity so I’m getting him a graduation sash and car tag to represent.
