Bad Boys for Hire: Nick – A Book Review

NEW RELEASE…
This Christmas, paraplegic Carol Cassidy is caught between the naughty and the nice: a hired Santa and a disabled firefighter.

Carol was an avid mountain climber until an accident left her in a wheelchair. Love is the last thing on her mind until she hires Nick to play Santa. Shocked at the sensations he elicits, she resists him and decides to date a good guy

Nick is drawn to Carol like a magnet to iron, and he sets out to prove that bad boys who hire themselves out can be good boys, too—especially in bed.
Carol discovers she’s not dead to passion, but when Nick’s dirty laundry is aired, she regrets choosing the naughty over the nice. Will the spirit of Christmas teach her that sometimes, a huge lump of coal can turn into the brightest diamond of love?

Bad Boys for Hire are fun and exciting stories where love is unexpected, but always delicious. They can be read standalone, but for greater enjoyment, please be sure to check out the other books in the series.

I loved Bad Boys for Hire: Nick. I am not sure I have read any of Rachelle Ayala’s other Bad Boys books so this is definitely able to be read as a standalone.
Nick is a very believable character. I understand his still living with relatives, even though he has a degree. He has an epiphany without seeing the three ghosts so common in stories set during Christmas time. I am still not quite sure what triggers is epiphany but he does have one. At his worst, he is basically selling himself. He is a personal trainer who charges more than average and then has clients sign agreements that sex is not part of the payment. Yet, sex is happening.
Carol is in a wheelchair. Ayala does a great job making her have just enough of a chip on her shoulder about her accident to make her truly believable. She is snarky and smart. Nick is enthralled by the fact she is in a wheelchair yet turns him down. She is annoyed he hits on her, believing it is solely because she is an easy mark.
This book is great to add to my read each year at Christmas time. I suggest you do the same.
I received this book through Beck Valley Books Book Tours, I have volunteered to share my review and all the opinions are 100% my own.
