Fish Costume

Hola,

I made this silly card for three challenges. Simon Says Stamps has a Monday Challenge called Go Fish and a Wednesday Challenge entitled It’s Hip to Be Square. I also needed a card for the Flickr Love! Challenge I always enter. This time they want a card for LOL, which could mean Lots of Love or Laugh Out Loud. I already turned in a Lots of Love card to the Flickr Love! Challenge earlier this month, so I wanted my second card to be a funny one.

I didn’t sleep any last night, which is typical for me, so I’m going to make this quick. I’m yawning and need to go to sleep, but I should wait awhile. Every Sunday after church my husband, Jan, makes a nice breakfast.

A few months back I bought the set of mini crazy birds and dies and had yet to use them. These crazies are the perfect stamps to use to make a funny card. I thought it would be silly if one of the birds wore a fish head and tail and wanted to show his new costume to his wife. I can imagine him picking out a costume for Halloween. The All Natural printed on the costume box proves that he is wearing a REAL fish head and tail, not a fabric one.

The white paper I used here is 110# Neenah Solar White Cardstock. The blue cardstock is Simon Says Stamp Audrey Blue. The background behind the birds is Ranger Watercolor Paper. The stamps and dies used are Tim Holtz Bird Talk and Hero Arts Color Layering Goldfish. The little leaf stamp is an off-brand that has no name on it. I drew the box and handwrote the words.

I water colored the background with Gansai Tambi paints. The birds are colored with Copic Markers. The fish is stamped with Archival Brilliance Ink. This is an A2 card.
