Hello Folks Who Like All Things Crafty,

This week Simon Says Stamps is having a Monday Challenge entitled Contain Yourself.  I thought of something that fits this category – a shadowbox!  After our daughter hired a professional photographer to take pictures of her family, we enjoyed seeing the lovely colors and scenery in the photographs.  I went to Michael’s Craft Store and purchased supplies to compliment the colors in the photographs she gave us. 

The rickrack trim and flowers are by Martha Stewart.  The blue border behind the photos is a 12 x 12 inch piece of glossy cardstock from Recollections, Michael’s exclusive brand.  The dark brown background is a 12 x 12 inch piece of cardstock from Bazzill.  I don’t know the brand name of the pink gems.  They are in my stash, unmarked.  I purchased the shadowbox frame locally at Archival’s Scrapbook Store.  They are no longer in business, but you can order something similar online at the link below.  I used a Scrapbook Adhesives Tape Runner to adhere the papers and photos to the dark brown background cardstock.  I buy the tape at amazon.com. 

TIP:  The next time our daughter gets professional pictures taken, I can remove this photo layout page which is adhered to the dark brown cardstock and place it in a 12 x 12 inch scrapbook album.  All the pieces are adhered, so I can just pick it up and insert it into an album sleeve!  Then I will have an empty shadowbox frame to refresh my family photos hanging on the wall and a nice scrapbook page to go in an album.
