Day 2 – Coloring on Kraft

Reveille started early this morning to wake us all up.  Thank goodness there were no shenanigans last night.  I think we were all too tired from our first day of camp.  They kept us pretty busy yesterday.

After breakfast in the mess hall, we went to an archery lesson.  I’m still not very good at it.  I still haven’t hit the target unless you count the counselor’s bum.  And, I don’t think that counts.  I was quickly taken off of target practice and put on arrow pick-up detail.  I wonder why?

I was so glad when Counselor Stephanie came and got us from archery to take us to the craft cabin for our craft adventure.  Today’s adventure was coloring on kraft.  I wasn’t sure what coloring on kraft was all about, so I was anxious to see what she had to say. I found out kraft is just a kind of paper.  I was excited to get started because I love to color.  This is what I came up with.

I used My Favorite Things Blissful Blooms and I’m Tweet on You stamp sets.  I stamped the images on the cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.  I used my PrismaColor colored pencils to color the images.  I added clear glitter to the butterflies wings using a Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Pen.

I loved Counselor Stephanie’s idea of using a white pencil to make dots on the card for added highlights.  I think it adds a lot to the card.  Great idea, Stephanie!

I earned a badge for making this card.  Yeah!

Now, it’s off to the mess hall for some evening grub.  I think I heard it’s sloppy joe’s tonight. “Sloppy joes, sloppy, sloppy, joes, yeah!”   Then, the counselors are putting a skit on for us in the auditorium.  I hope they can act and sing as well as they can craft.
