Summer Card / Stretch Your Stamps

Happy Monday, everyone!

I am popping in today with a quick summer themed card. I had a request from one of my friends for this card and have to admit it put me through some hard times, as I don’t have many summer-beach-ocean kind of stamps:) But looking and looking through my stamps got me picking this flower stamp set from Concord & 9th. I know, flowers right?!:)

Maybe because it was turned upside down when I spotted it, it inspired me to use one of the flowers from the set and turn it into a jellyfish. I was so excited that I decided to make a quick video and update my blog too, as it is been like forever since my last post. Yep, working hard:)

I used my Distress Inks to color the jellyfish and also to create my background. Because distress inks react with water even if they are dry, I added some splatters of water and picked it up with my towel, so it left a great texture behind, something to remind of the ocean:)

I am entering my card in the Simon Says Stamp Monday challenge and this week is all about Flora and Fauna

You can watch the how-to video below or HERE on my YouTube channel.

Ay! This is so beautiful. I love the background ombre coloring and the crazy jellyfish against this heavenly blues. Great idea of turning a flower into this cute creature! Lovely!. Thank you for sharing your project with us at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! Hugs, Marzena
