Rather than a 1951-era Hercule Poirot, these short stories all date from 1923-1926. Summaries of them all can be found in various places. Some were reworked into later novels or longer short stories, causing a few to be vaguely familiar. While it is fun to see early Poirot, the short story format doesn’t allow Christie enough room for her intricate plots. The Submarine Plans, for example, worked much better as the longer novella, The Incredible Theft.

I think these Dell Christie covers were what Bev had in mind when she created this scavenger hunt. Here we’ll go with the magnifying glass, rather than the mask.
