I seem to have been making a lot of rainbow coloured cards recently! Here’s another one 🙂
I started by stamping the images from the Altenew Way Too Sweet stamp set in Versamark ink onto watercolour card. I heat embossed them with white embossing powder.
I chose some colours of distress ink. I added water to the card, then dropped in watered down distress ink using a paintbrush. I let the colours mix a bit before drying with a heat gun.
I attached the watercolour card to an A6 card base.
Next, I heat embossed in white on black card a sentiment from the same stamp set. I attached this to the card with black foam squares.
With a fun sentiment like this, I couldn’t resist adding a sprinkling of sequins across the card. I chose clear and coloured sequins to match the background.
Have a lovely day!
I’m entering this card in the following competitions, both have to feature embossing:
- Seven Hills Craft May Challenge – Runner Up!
I’ve seen a few cards using distress ink and I had never known what you could do with it apart from make things look old/vintage. I love what you have created here! I’m going to have to look into buying some for myself! And great instructions too 🙂

I was the same – at first I only thought they were for vintage effects. Now I couldn’t be without them! I probably use them on most projects so worth the investment, I think. Thank you for your lovely comments 🙂
