A few weekends ago, I hung out with my brother and nieces at my house.  We took a ride to the new shopping center near me and stopped in Michaels so I could grab a few craft supplies.  Like any good aunt, I bribed my two year old niece.  “If you’re good in the store, Aunt Jess will get you that Lion King book,” turned into buying the book, two little Easter eggs, and chocolate-covered pretzels.

When we got back to my house, with all of our new goodies in tow, I handed my niece a couple markers and told her she could color one of her new eggs.  Well, in the eyes of a two year old, that just made her day even more amazing!  The following week, I received a text from my sister-in-law telling me that my niece had been taking her egg to bed with her at night.  So, so cute!

I kicked myself for not buying a wooden Easter egg for myself while we were at Michaels, so I ended up going back.  I had thought of a few ways to decorate my egg.  After looking through my craft supplies, I wanted to make an enchanted forest inspired Easter egg using moss and decoupage butterflies.  I love the way this egg turned out!  When I talked to my niece on the phone the other week, she got so excited when I told her that I now had an egg, too!
