It’s time again for an Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge!
I started with a top folded white cardstock base and added a layer of navy blue polka dot paper from American Crafts. I next added a layer of Kraft Cardstock that I dry embossed using a Dear Lizzy Banner Embossing Folder. I then used a Dear Lizzy die to cut a prize ribbon on another American Crafts patterned paper and bright pink cardstock. Before adhering the prize ribbon to the card base, I used the CTMH Stitch Guide, a scrap piece of packaging and embroidery floss to create a shaker pocket that I filled with loose sequins.
The sentiment is adhered directly to the clear plastic and comes from the same Dear Lizzy die cut set. I cut the sentiment on toner paper and ran through my Minc to match the gold foil polka dots on the patterned paper. This photo really shows the shine from the gold foil! I also added hand stitching along the edges of the tails of the prize ribbon. For the final touches I scattered a few extra sequins around the card.
There are so many fun ways to interpret this sketch! Now it’s your turn to head over to Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge and enter your interpretation of sketch #152!
Thanks for stopping by!
