Birthday Lollipops

It’s such a grey, wet day today, I thought I’d make a bright summery card to lift my mood.

How I made this card:

On a piece of white watercolour card, I stamped lollipops from the Altenew Way Too Sweet stamp set with Versafine Onyx Black ink. 

Once all the images were stamped, I created masks to go over the top of them. I wanted a yellow background so blended Distress Ink in Squeezed Lemonade over the watercolour card. It’s fun to remove the masks and see the white lollipops underneath.

I used Zig Clean Colour Real Brush Pens to colour in the lollipops and add dots to the background. I added Wink of Stella clear glitter over the top of the lollies. I used double sided tape to attach it to an A6 card base.

For the sentiment, I die cut a tag from the MFT traditional stitched tag dies in black card. I white heat embossed a birthday greeting from the Clearly Besotted It’s Your Birthday stamp set. I used black foam squares to attach the greeting to the card.
