I stumbled upon a new technique as I was perusing blogland and had to give it a try. The card on the right was created with the traditional method of sponging on Distress Inks through the stencil. Instead of cleaning off my stencil and wasting all that ink, I spritzed the stencil with water, and then smooshed my white panel onto the stencil. It gives a much softer, faux watercolored look.
I was inspired by the challenge over at A Blog Named Hero this month featuring rainbows. Granted,I only made it through the first half of the rainbow, but I think it still counts. And the challenge over at SSS Monday Challenge this week was all about "leaping into" a new technique. I think this is a keeper of a technique! 2 cards with little more effort than 1!

ABSOLUTELY; we count that as a rainbow! Two incredibly different looks, both are spectacular!! Thanks for playing along with us at A Blog Named Hero! ~Michele, DT
