Some of the best gifts on Valentine’s Day are the ones made with your hands and heart. This easy to make Valentine’s Day candy jar can easily become a most favorite gift. I personally love this DIY craft because it is festive-looking and can assume its own personality. In addition, this craft can serve a purpose of a container for pencils and pens, candy, paper clips, small electronic gadgets and so much more.
Easy DIY Valentine’s Day Candy Jar
This Valentine’s Day Candy Jar could become a love jar idea for him, too! By adding a personalized look to this craft, you can strike the most sensitive feelings in your sweetheart.
I hope each and every one of you are having a wonderful week so far! I’ve been a little crafty this week while preparing for the upcoming holiday, so I thought it would be fun to share my recent craft with you. Candy Hearts are my favorite Valentines Day treat, so I always make sure to grab some when they become available (not the best for you, but that is the point of a treat right? ha!).
Now I couldn’t just have them laying around in a bag, so I decided to make a simple but pretty DIY Valentines Day Candy Jar made from items I already had at home! Would you like to learn to make one for yourself? Let’s get started!
Here is how to make a simple and beautiful DIY Valentines Day Candy Jar
These ingredients for your easy craft are things you have around the house:
– Glue or you can use a glue gun as well
– Scissors
– A can from soup
– Burlap ribbon or fabric
– Tulle or ribbon for decorating the can
– Paper hearts
Step 1: After you have emptied and cleaned out your can or jar of choice, measure a piece of burlap to wrap around your vessel. After you have measured it, use glue to adhere it to your jar.
Step 2: After your glue has dried it’s time to decorate! I decided to go with some tulle that I had in my craft box that was soft pink and glittery. It looked perfect with the burlap. I then added some fun paper hearts to my Valentines Day Candy Jar to really tie the theme in.
Step 3: Fill your newly made DIY Valentines Day Candy Jar with your favorite candy and display anywhere you choose.
There you have it, just a few simple steps and craft items and you have a beautiful container for your favorite Valentine’s Day treats all season long! Enjoy!
