My Grandson – Freshman Year

My grandson, Colin, started high school this year. He also played soccer. The team went 11-4-2 and was going to play in the sectional championship game but due to an athlete positive covid case, the school decided to forfeit the game. Five of the team were quarantined but there were plenty of players to play the game. There were some disappointed players. None were ready for the season to be over. On a good note, my grandson did earn his varsity letter as a freshman. The picture with pink shirt was the Kick for the Cure game. The last picture are the two freshman who lettered this year.

Painted Rocks

My grand daughter knew all about painted rocks and was hoping to find some.  She found one at Red Lobster in Boardman back in September.   I never heard about painting and hiding rocks but Madi and I decided to try it.  Here is a picture of some of them.  In total we have hid about 50 rocks and about 20 of them have been posted on Northeast Ohio Rocks!  on Facebook.  I guess rock painting started as a hobby of someone to bring acts of kindness to the one who finds a rock.  It took off and now there are more than twenty groups on Facebook.

We hid this rock at the doctors office and it has been posted four times, doctors office,  Dave and Busters in Westlake, LaRox in Akron and in Columbus, Ohio.  The person that found it in Columbus is from Fort Worth, Texas.  They are going to hide it there.   Even though I sealed it with an outdoor coating, you can tell the weather is making it fade.

My husband and I are going on vacation next month down south.  Madi was here last weekend and she painted a couple dozen rocks for me  to hid on our trip.

Easter

Saturday before Easter, we pulled the camper up to our new camp.  We left the state park and went to Meadow Lake.  It will be different.  We don’t have a view of the lake but we do have full hookup which is nice.  We came back the same day so we would be home for Easter.  My mom, my daughter, Jamie and her family, and my neighbors came over for dinner.  It was a rainy day and we had the egg hunt inside.

Saw this cake on Pinterest.  It has easy to make and was so cute.

I went and watched the grand kids decorate eggs.  They dyed some, silk dyed some, tye dyed some, glittered a couple,  and used Sharpie markers to draw on some.

Pap promised Madison to get her a duck for Easter.  He ended up getting 4 ducks, 2 for each one of the kids.  They are cute but messy!!!

It was a fun day.  This is my mom with Colin and Madison.  My mom is 90 years old and looks great.

My daughter and family.

Having fun
