A Touch of Gold – AHSC #144

This is my last Design Team post for the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.  I decided that I needed a little break to get some other things on track.  I’m increasing the number of classes that I will be holding and that takes a lot of prep work time so I’m giving myself a 6 month break from the DT, I’ll still be sharing artwork here as well as participating in challenges as time allows.

Sketch #144 was so much fun for me.  I needed a thank you card, wanted to play with Charlotte papers and it all came together with a little added help from the Paper Fundamentals Gold Assortment.

.

I love this Cricut Artistry flower cut out of the gold glitter paper – I wasn’t sure what I wanted to back it with, and finally decided a pop of smoothie was the look I was going for. This particular flower has a leaf which I just snipped off since it wasn’t the look I was going for.

Here’s a close of up the Fundamental Assortment in Gold.  I have gone absolutely crazy using the stickers that come in the pack, but this is the first plastic clip and wooden sticker that I’ve used, not because I don’t love them, just because I didn’t want to use them up.  I think they added just the right amount of pop to this card.

Thanks for stopping by I appreciate your comments and look forward to being back on the DT in August – in the mean time I hope you will stop by the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge Blog and take the plunge to create with the magnificent sketches that are available there.

  1. I’ve enjoyed reading your comments on my blog, Tracey. You’re always so encouraging and positive. Here’s looking toward August! And, this is a gorgeous card. I have started doing a few Color Dare challenges so I am beginning to become familiar with the CTMH colors and paper and this is lovely.

  2. Gorgeous card. Love your use of the softer colors from the Charlotte paper. The sparkle flower is sooo pretty. Wish I had my cricut with me. I miss my gadgets, but not missing the 30″ of snow they have back home.

  3. Another very pretty card Tracey…sorry to learn you are leaving as Design Team for AHSC. Hope you still participate in that challenge, and do some Color Dare challenges like you used to…as you know I’m now a Design Team Member for Color Dare…love to see you at both challenges.
