Time Out DT #47, Seize The Birthday – 31 December, SSS Monday – 4 January, SSS Wednesday – 6 January

Hello … bonjour!  Welcome back to Time Out … we’re looking forward in 2016 to continuing to bring you fun and fabulous challenges, super talented Designers to CASE and wonderful Guest Designers … and of course, lots of inspiration from the amazing Design Team!  This fortnight, we have a Theme challenge with (new for this year) an optional Technique Twist … Birthday with the option of sponging.  Sponging is one of my favourite techniques … however, as I did a lot of it before Christmas, I’m having a change and going optionless …

Time Out DT 47Time Out… and rather less CAS than usual!  This card was made for a friend who appreciates a little more activity on her cards than CAS allows … and as it was hand delivered, I didn’t need to worry about putting it in the mail (although it does fold flat(ish) to fit into a standard envelope).  The blooms are from MFT … die cut and stamped, with the tiny ones Stickled to add sparkle.  I hand cut and scored some card for the vase and trimmed it with a smidge of shimmery washi tape, before arranging/layering the flowers into it.  The finished bouquet/vase was adhered onto a MFT pierced rectangle (another of Bev‘s Lake House goodies 🙂 ) over a DP mat … and I fixed the whole thing to the card base with foam tape.  The sentiment’s from SSS, stamped onto a hand cut banner and attached flat, overhanging the edges of the vase.

How about playing along with us … we’d love it if you did!  For those who twist and sponge (sounds like a good post-Christmas workout!), there’ll be a random draw for a £15 evoucher from Uniko … and as usual, the winner, as voted for by the DT, will be invited to guest design with us for a future challenge!  There’s lots of inspiration over at the Time Out blog, from our talented (and returning from July!) Guest Designer, Rema from Paper Panache … and from our fabulous Design Team.  Hope to see you in the gallery!

My blooms are going to be flowering over at …

Seize The Birthday – Anything Goes

SSS Monday – Something New … my blooms from MFT are new … deliciously so!

SSS Wednesday – Something New … my blooms are still new!!

Thanks so much for coming by, your visits and comments are always a joy!  Anita 🙂

I thought this was not as CAS as normal and now know why! I really like how you made the vase, cool idea. These new flowers and dies are fabulous and handing someone will be like handing them a real bunch of flowers….or far better in my opinion x

How ’bout you ‘hand deliver’ yourself to my front door?!!!! No need for an envelope! Or…if I win that big lottery (hahahahahaha), I’ll be delivering myself to your front door!! I love that you’ve stepped out of your comfort zone and gone a little more with this beautiful card. That bouquet is beautiful, and your vase is just the right base for it. The colors and your design is gorgeous. I love this card. And I’m missing you! Hugs and bisous!! xo

A lovely breath of spring in this pretty bouquet. I’m really liking the way you did the flowers & stems in the dimensional vase. I’ve never seen borders left on the stems before, and it’s a beautiful & interesting touch…adds a lot of texture to the bouquet. TFS & Hugs

Looks like I missed a lot of cards whilst I was away Anita! Loving all that dimension on here – it’s so different to your CAS creations…so lovely to see you out of your spongey comfort zone! Hope you had a great Christmas!

Wow! A very successful step ‘outside of your comfort zone’. I think that your perfectly placed, neat & tidy little images don’t compromise your CAS design at all. Love the little pops of bold pink among the other subdued colors.

How sweet you are to expand your style to create a ‘less’ CAS card to delight your friend! The vase of flowers: absolutely gorgeous! I’d love to hand-deliver one of my cards to you! Buying lottery tickets!

Anita, I’ve been oohing and ahhing over your latest creations….what a delight! And this particular beauty…wow! The dimension is incredible and the stamping perfect. I saw a card by Laurie Willison with this set that I loved and now I’m adding yours to the list. This gorgeous card is making this set ever more appealing. PS I must thank you for the BEAUTIFUL card you sent me. I just realized I never thank you for it….my BIGGEST apologies! I have it right on my nightstand and admire it often. It is beautiful and such a wonderful reminder of what an amazingly kind person you are.
