Happy Father's day

Hello, today I'm using a Whimsy Stamps Digi I think it fabulous for a man's birthday, Father's Day or a "if you stop believing in the Magic of Christmas, you get ties";-)

For my card I printed the digi and colored it with alcohol markers.

For the Background I've used the new Mix and Match Marquee set and made a  mask with it and then inkblended Twisted Citron and Tumbled Glass through it, for my whimsical background. |I just love that shape

AAA Colourful Challenge #4

Hello this month we have lots of tule, colourful tuke in our game badge. I thought Ballerina at first, but then chose to use the colours on the background as clouds, then repeated in the unicorn as accents.

For the clouds is a stencil from Marianne Design (PS8024) and I've used Distress inks on it a sI saw them in the game badge: Shaded Lilac, Saltwater Taffy, Tumbled Glass and Squeezed Lemonade. #SSS20YearsOfDistress

The Unicorn is also Marianne Design (EC0180) and I stamped it with Versafine on watercolor paper and used the Distress inks as watercolors, adding a brick beige Zig watercolor  marker for the body.

White gel pen in the eye for shimmer.

Sentiment is from Clearly Besotted (Tiny Type) and I stamped it with Versafine Morning Mist.

Mounted the Unicorn with foamtape and adhered it to the cardbase.

AAA Card Challenge #265: Anything Birthday Goes

Hello this fortnight we're celebrating 10 years of AAA Card Challenges and it's the 265th, blimey that a lot of cards, isn't it? How long have you been playing along? I can't remember exactly myself. I used to be a player and then DT and now Admin, so you tell me haha.

So Anything CAS goes, but a (10th) Birthday Card would be cool.
I made two cards,  the first with stuff I had and before we had sponsors, then I  made another with Whimsy Products as they are a  sponsor and we're so grateful. For a full list of prizes and or goodies, also donations from our wonderful DT, see our blog.

I stamped the image  onto Copic Save paper (Whimsy Stamps Monster Moods) and colored it with Spectrum Tri Blend Markers then popped it up with foamtape.

The background is created onto the cardbase with Distress inks (twisted citron and Tumbled Glass), I've used a stencil I made once, free handed a blob, but today I've only used the loved part and faded to white.
I stamped the sentiments (Whimsy Simple Sentiment Strips and Monster Moods) with Versafine black ink. White gel pen for the shine in the eyes.

For my 2nd, but actually the 1st,  card I bought a Birthday Die second hand, I've asked the seller, but I don't know the brand, I just liked it and cut it twice from thick white cardstock. then swiped the line with DIstress inks Mermaid Lagoon And set the letter back inside.
the Happy is Memento ink Bamboo Leaves and it's from the Simon Says Stamp 3x4 it's your  Birthday Set.
the Monkey is from C.C. Designs  and I mounted it onto the card with foamtape and taper runner where needed.

Eek it's scary how old you are

Hello, today  I wanted to show off the new Monster Smiles Digi.

I printed and colored it with alcohol markers.

I then I die cut the Mix and Match Marquee set and the Eek word and shadow set from colored cardstock and put it all together.

For the background I've made a mask with another size of the marquee set and inkblended Distress inks trough it, Mustard Seed, Carved Pumpkin and Picked Raspberry, I wanted it all nice and brightly colored, even though I used the EEK! and It's scary how old you are sentiment from the Monster Birthday Set, also Whimsy Stamps.

Lady Bug girl

Hello, today I'm using another digi from the latest release at Whimsy Stamps: Lady Bug Girl from the Krista Heij Barber line also.

I printed the digi, cut it out and colored it with alcohol markers.

I know lady bugs have more black parts, but I thought that was too dark. I even wanted black hair but opted for something a little brighter, I think that's nicer if it's for a little girl's costume, what do you think?

The background I made with Distress inks: Cracked Pistachio, Lucky Clover and Evergreen Bough.

I ripped pieces of masking paper to give  the look of rolling fields or hills, but also keeping it abstract. I did splatter with water, cos it is Distress inks, it's mandatory ;-)

Mounted the image with foamtape and adhered her to the cardbase.

The Sentiment is also Whimsy Stamps: Simple Sentiment Strips and I stampe dit with Versafine inks.

You can find the digi in the Whimsy Store here: https://whimsystamps.com/collections/newest-digital/products/lady-bug-girl-digital-stamp

And the sentiment set:  https://whimsystamps.com/products/simple-sentiment-strips-clear-stamps?_pos=2&_sid=659f80a38&_ss=r

AAA Birthday Card Challenge May : Clean and Simple #61

Hello, this month we're all about Clean And Simple.

Much like the sister blog AAA Card Challenges, we look for minimal  or no layers, minimal or no embellishments, ample empty space, aka white space.

For my card I made a rectangular mask and inkblended Distress inks Cracked Pistachio and and on top Peacock Feathers.

The feathers are a stencil from Create a Smile (Federflug which means something like flight of feathers). If they were leaves they'd go too as part of my jungle like scene. The birds and twigs are from a Clearly Besotted set ( Some Birdie loves you) and I wanted them to look like  baby parrots. White gel pen details. Adhered the branch with liquid glue and the parrots with foamtape

Sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps (Simple Sentiment Strips).

AAA Cards Challenge #264: Sketch

Hello, this fortnight we have a sketch and I've used a Christmas Wreath for a "New Home"card.
I kept the wreath from Jeanine's Art (Find it Trading ) white and I colored the Heart in one of the houses red.
The sentiment is from Clearly Besotted (Tiny Type) and I colored it the same red.
Note this is a 13x18cm card  or 5x7inch, it's rather big, but otherwise the wreath would eat up all the card front and thus white/empty space.
Just a trick anyone can use if you're focal point is a tad too big for a normal size card.
