The 12 Kits of Occasions – December Guest Designer

Hello … bonjour … hope you had the most wonderful and blessed Christmas!  Today, I’m excited and honoured to be Guest Designing with the DT at The 12 Kits of Occasions!  What a fabulous surprise and huge thrill it was some months ago, to receive the lovely Lindsey‘s invitation to play along with this group of truly amazing, super talented crafters.  Thanks so much, Lindsey … it’s been so much fun playing with the myriad of wonderful goodies in your ‘Walking in a Winter Wonderland’ kit!  Just take a look at all the yumminess that tumbled out of my happy package …

12 Kits Dec 15 Yep … fantastic … so full of delicious supplies!  I made eight cards … so far (warning, photo heavy post!) … and there’s still tons left to play with.  Are you sitting comfortably … can I share?

12 Kits 1Isn’t that feathery trim from the kit just gorgeous … perfect frostiness … and the snowflake’s been shimmered up too!

12 Kits 2The blended card base was an ‘Anita’ addition … as was the sparkly Stickles shining from the windows of those sweet little houses!

12 Kits 3Here, these warm hearted neighbours have thrown open their shutters to welcome guests who arrive by the shimmery light of the Stickled stars …

12 Kits 4… and the residents of this tiny mountain hamlet must be skiers … they’re hoping for more snow … my sparkly seed beads serve as the shaker snow!
12 Kits 5Non traditional colours for a contemporary door wreath … complete with Wink of Stella’d and Glossy Accented ornaments.

12 Kits 6The slightly more traditional next door neighbour …

12 Kits 7and the minimalist one on the other side !  The tiny berries were my own addition.

12 Kits 8Finishing as I started … with snowflakes … all shimmery and pearly …

12 Kits All… and here’s a final photo of them all, lined up along the cheminée.

If you haven’t already been, I know you’ll want to head over to The 12 Kits of Occasions blog to check out the fabulous array of cards from the DT and from fellow Guest Designer, Bhavana … and to follow the links to their blogs.  There’s a full list of supplies over there too, if you’d like further details on those.  Thanks so much, once again, Lindsey for such a fantastic kit … it’s been a delight playing along with you all!

I’m linking some of my Walking in a Winter Wonderland cards to …

SSS Wednesday – All That Sparkles (the first four)

SSS Monday – Winter Wonderland (the first four and the last)

I hope your New Year celebrations turn out to be magical … and that 2016 brings you blessings in abundance … health, happiness, love and laughter among them!  As this is my last post of the year, I’d also like to say a huge thank you to all of you … friends, followers (of the active and silent variety!) and visitors … for your support, encouragement, kindness, generosity … and most especially, your friendship.  My world is a better place because you are in it!

I’ve written these following words so often … and each time I mean every single word … they come from my heart!  Thanks so much for coming by, your visits and comments are always a joy!  Anita 🙂

My-oh-my….an incredible display of your talent and productivity! These ‘kits’ that the ladies put together (I’ve seen some from Kim) are UNBELIEVABLE! Seriously, who needs to shop after receiving a treat bag full of goodies like this one!

Every card is stunning! I love how you carried your CAS style throughout all these sa-weet creations! My favorite one of all is the purple card – adore the boldness of this non-traditional color combo!

Hopping around in blog land like mad today….but you have some real showstoppers here, Anita! I am not even sure where to start…your first card – love that feathery trim under that gorgeous snowflake. A perfect fit! Card #2 has such a lovely sky and that scene with those little houses is adorable! Card#3: Perfect CAS and to add yellow to the windows gives just the right touch of color! Card#4: who doesn’t love shakers and an alpine shaker – super! Card#5 and 6: beautiful wreaths! Cards #7 and 8: the glitter makes them shine – CAS beauties!

I wish you a Happy New Year , my friend!

Oh, Anita! You’ve made this whole experience even greater than I imagined. Each and every card you creating is stunning on its own and I LOVED seeing them all lined up together. From your fabulous blended background, to the creative way you used the “icicle” trim, to the bead shaker, to the lit/sparkly windows on the houses, to the pearls on the snowflakes…all the tiny and perfectly placed details are just that…perfect. The card that I just CASE is the gorgeous wreath atop the deep purple cardstock…so stunning! I am truly overjoyed to share this with you! Thank you so much! Hugs and Happy New Year Wishes!

Regardless of the materials presented to you, you create unique cards that say “made by Anita,” – you are gifted. Wishing you a wonderful new year full of many blessings and good health.
