A Blogger’s Prayer (Printable)
A Blogger’s Prayer
Lord, I thank you for my blog, and allowing me to write
So that I may bless others as I walk by faith not sight.
I only ask that as I do so, my focus would not be
To gain a multitude of followers, but just to follow Thee.
May my delight not be in each person who subscribes
But as my heart submits to you, seek an eternal prize.
I pray the platform grown would please the audience of One
And rather than looking to me each seek, above all, Your Son.
Since the only tribe worth belonging to is the tribe that You lead
I know full well that apart from you nothing can succeed.
Remind me that each link should lead to words tested and true
And that the most crucial link to cultivate is the one I have with you.
While my header may be pretty, fashionable and sweet
You are Head of this site; it’s You whom visitors greet.
Teach me as I compile each post, thinking of another
That the posts I occupy firstly are those of wife and mother.
Although the pages on my blog contain words I want to note
Let me not neglect the pages of the very book you wrote.
As my words are seen and read across the Blogosphere
May my desire be, above all, to worship you right here.
Amen.
We, however, will not boast beyond proper limits, but will confine our boasting to the sphere of service God himself has assigned to us, a sphere that also includes you.
2 Corinthians 10:13
