Grey, yellow and white challenge

Happy Wednesday Morning!  I had this card done last night but I wanted to go and watch my son’s softball game and by the time we got home I didn’t feel like turning the computer on.

The challenge at No Time to Stamp – Stamp Simply #145 is to use the colors yellow, gray, white or cream and a pop of black if desired.  When I saw this challenge I knew I had to play.  How great is this color combination???  Love it!!!  The next thing was to deceide which image to ink up and color.  I decided to use this sweet image from Lili of the Valley stamps.  Yes, can you believe it – I do use rubber stamps on occassion.

I used copic markers to color the image.  Matted the stamp using my trusty nesties.  The border was made using an EK Success scallop punch three times.  The DP is from SEI.  I have been dying to use my newly purchased flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, they are just beautiful – not sure how well they will do in the mail but we’ll see.

I used this sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches for the card layout.  I like this sketch as it allows the image to be the focal point of the card.

Another challenge this card works for was found at Party Time Tuesday.  The challenge is to make an anything goes birthday card, their only stipulation was the sentiment needed to be on the front of the card.  Easy, peasy for me – I almost always put a verse on the card front.

I hope you enjoy my card as much as I did making it – Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek!
