Hi! Thanks for stopping by for a visit. I’m glad you’re here. I’m excited to be joining you today with my second post as a member of the AAA Cards Design Team!
This week’s Challenge: #48 Autumn Colors
I really like this photo, don’t you?!
I made two slightly different cards for this challenge post. Here’s the first.
For both of the cards in this post I used with my NBUS SU Vintage Leaf Stamp on some fabric with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I’m going to play this first card along over at Darnell’s NBUS Challenge #5 (Yay Darnell!!), SSS’s Monday Challenge: Stamp And Punch/Die Cut, Word Art Wednesday’s Challenge #200 – LET’S CELEBRATE!!!
ATCAS’s Challenge #72: Leaves and SSS Wednesday’s Simon Says STAMPtember® Use A Stamp Challenge And Blog Hop.
I love Autumn! Especially in Maine.
You can see the unfinished bg paper in the photos below. I also added some Smooch Spritz in order to even out the background and to add a little bit of shimmer.
Here’s the second card:
I used the photo below as a guide when I colored in the leaves with my new ZIG Clean Color Real Brush watercolor markers. The sentiments are from the Penny Black Creative Dies, Words of Gratitude die set.
Thanks for stopping by!

Melissa

P.S. Have you ever heard the song “Amazed”? Part of the lyrics say, “You dance over me, while I am unaware. You sing all around, but I never hear the sound.” That line reminds me of Autumn in Maine, the leaves falling all around on a sunshiny and breezy day. I miss Maine in the Autumn. Here are a couple of my father’s paintings of Fall in Maine.
And here’s a lyrics slideshow of the song “Amazed” sung by Lincoln Brewster. I hope you enjoy it and have a beautiful Fall day.
Not sure what happened to my comment – just wanted to say I love the colors and the stamping on fabric. Both cards are fab. I also love the Maine paintings – beautiful!!

Love both the cards, and great example of stamping on the fabric. The colours are superb and love the inspiration piece. BTW the Maine paintings are beautiful. I was lucky enough to visit Vermont in autumn a few years ago and it really is superb.
