I recently came across this pin. It totally inspired me! With this journal page, I had no plan or direction other than to try using the sprays (in colours I have) in a similar manner to the video. When it came time to choice a quote, this one really spoke to me since I really did just go with what my muse told me to try next! This also works with this fortnight’s challenge over at That Craft Place – LAYERS.
Instead of a long boring bit of waffle, I’m just going to list the layers starting at the top just like an archaeologist at a dig site. 😉
Sentiment – Dylusions for the Dancing and a typewriter font for the rest.
Birds (scribble birds from Dina Wakely) stamped on book paper and coloured with yellow oxide and cobalt teal fluid acrylics.
Hessian (huge packs from TCP)
Coffee Rings stamp from Ditzie Designs (aka TCP) in black archival ink.
Turquoise (this one has a shimmer/blingy effect) and purple media misters from DecoArts.
Texture paste through a new stencil from TCP (that I got in my latest DT pack…epic stencil!)
Gesso in random length strokes (utterly hard for this maths girl to do random and not make everything even!)
Book pages glued onto TCP super smooth using DecoArt Decopauge. Love that stuff!
