Watercolour Anemones card

I’ve been playing with my new WPlus9 Watercolour Anemones stamp set. I tried stamping with traditional colours, then thought I’d try a more stylised look. I love the blues and how it gives a completely different take on the stamp set.

Watercolour Anemones card
I stamped most of an A4 sheet of card with the blue flowers and leaves. As I’ve only used a small portion of it, I can make some more cards with the rest sometime.

I used the third colour palette from the Make the Day Special June challenge for this card. I wanted to keep the card quite simple, in order to keep the focus on the flowers. The flash of red really lifts the blue in the flowers (I love blue and red together). I then used one of my favourite sentiment stamps.

Products used to make this card:

  • WPlus9 Watercolour Anemones stamp set
  • Clearly Besotted ‘Say It In Style’ Stamp Set
  • Avery Elle ‘Dotted Borders Elle-ments’
  • Memento Dew Drop Inks

I’m entering this card in the following competitions:
