Ooo, Ooo Ombre – Hearts (A Stencil Re-purpose)

Here’s my square, heart-covered card.

For the above card I re-purposed the stencil that I made for the XOXO heart card to the right.IMG_3770edited

I made the stencil with my PTI Heart Cover Plate die and then sponged the ombre red/pinky coral inks through it. The result was a lovely ombre panel that I used to make this card. I adhered the heart panel to the square card base with some foam tape. Then I added a partial scalloped circle stamped with a PTI sentiment from the Enclosed: Flower stamp set.

May’s CAS challenge at HLS is Die Cuts/Punches and this week’s cue word at CASology is shape. I think this card is pretty and fun. I’m also going to play it over at SSS’s Monday Challenge: Don’t Abandon the Coral and at Seize the Birthday’s Topping’s Challenge: Use the Negative.

I also added some PTI Birthday Sentiments and hearts to the inside.

  1. A beautiful card. The use of the negative is brilliant and I love the colours. Gorgeous! Thanks so much for playing along at Happy Little Stampers and good luck with the DT call xx
