Bonjour!  Today’s cards were inspired by the current Simon Says Stamp Flickr Color Challenge and one of my favorite treats!!

I snapped the pic below a few years ago while standing in the queue to buy macarons at Laduree in Paris, France.  Yum!!

My original idea was to stamp the large macaron (from Avery Elle’s Bonjour) in the four challenge colors (green, yellow, blue, and pink), cut them out with the matching dies, and pop them up scattered all over the card…It was only AFTER I had stamped and cut out 12 large macarons that I realized they wouldn’t fit on the card front!  LOL!  Here is the “plan B” card that I will also be submitting to the current Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge (Anything Goes).

As I was looking at the finished card above, I realized I really liked the line of falling macarons on the left side of the card, and was inspired to create another card utilizing the large macaron die-cuts I had planned to use earlier.  I will be submitting this card to the current Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge (Clean and Simple).

I am so thrilled that even though the original plan for my card fell through, I now have TWO thank you cards to add to my stash.  *happy dance*
