Happy Anniversary – AHSC #103

The Brushed paper pack is really growing on me…thanks to the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge and the Color My Heart Color Dare, I might just get it used up!

This card was inspired by the AHSC #103 and my neighbor down the street who started talking to me about cards with belly bands, since I had the Brushed Paper still sitting on my desk I decided to play with it some more and make an anniversary card to put into my stash.

Brushed Anniversary

The first thing I did was grab my envelope punch board and of course since it was on the bottom of a pile made a HUGE mess in the process.  Then since I haven’t used it in forever I promptly cut the envelope the wrong size so it’s not a standard card size, oh well all is not lost in crafting.  I layered black and colonial white cardstock to the inside stamped two groups of flowers which I colored with the Shin Han markers and popped up the little anniversary banner.  I also wanted to give the belly band some texture so I ran it through the Big Shot and tied it with a piece of thick twine.  The LOVE is centered on colonial white and black circles and that is layered on additional piece of Brushed B&T which was cut using the Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge.

I’m really quite pleased with how everything came together…thank goodness Spring Break is over and I can enter some challenges without someone else grabbing paper and stamps over the top of me!
