it was amazing

This book was a great telling of a great story. The story of the 8-man rowing in 1936 is inspiring and fascinating and it is told in an interesting fashion that kept me quite interested. I had other things going on and didn't read much during the time I was reading this book, but it is definitely one you could read right through in a short time. The story focuses on one of the rowers, Joe Rantz, but tells about the other boys, the intricacies and beauty of rowing as a team, the Nazi preparations for the Olympics, and the Univ. of Washington rivalry with Cal. The descriptions of the races in the book are quite exciting and as final Olympic race is available to view on YouTube, it was fun to watch the real boys win.
