This weeks Wednesday challenge for Simon Says Stamp is Special Lady/Girly using DOODLEBUG products ( http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/ ). I unfortunately do not have any DOODLEBUG products. I have a very limited collection of stamps and other card making material since I just started card making towards the end of last year. I still hope that you would like the card that I made for this challenge. I went with a theme for Women’s Day and so I wanted this card to be subtle and feminine.
I made use of a beautiful Dark Purple Card stock along with a very pale blue glitter card stock from the DCWV Christmas and Winter Cardstock Stack ( The pictures don’t do justice to the colours of the card though 😦 ). I made it a window card since window cards are trending. Instead of putting sequence in the window I punched flowers out of the same cardstock and also added a little bit of glitter. I also added those beautiful Pearl stickers from Say it in crystals decorative adhesive Pearl and Crystal set. I thought that it made the card stand out more. I had some really old floral embossed vellum from one of the wedding invitations that I had saved so I decided to cut out one of the embossed flowers and used it on this card and I think it brought the whole card together.I also used the Dotted Wave border punch from EK Tools. I must admit that I had a creative block when I started making this card but it all came together at the end and I am quite happy with the outcome!!
Thank you for taking a look at my card and I hope you got inspired!! If you like it please give it a thumbs up and also leave a comment at the end of this page. Have a great day!!
