Time Out #25 Mid Challenge Reminder, Simply Create Too #79, SSS Monday-23 February, SSS Wednesday-25 February

We’re half way through our latest challenge at Time Out … this time our theme is ‘Inspired By Words’ … and our words are ‘Rock Around The Clock’.  Last week, I went pretty and dreamy … this time, I’ve gone graphic …

Time Out DT 25R, SCT 79, SSSM 23-2, SSSW 25-2Time OutAs there isn’t a single clock or music related stamp in my collection, I did a little out of the box thinking … and on a white card panel stamped Avery Elle Bright Days triangles to hint at the idea of clock hands.  The SSS dot acts as the pivot for the hands and was embossed in black.  I created a fun time-related sentiment by selectively inking three different Papertrey stamps … and the ‘hug’ was heat embossed (does that mean the hug is a warm one … tee hee!).  The base card was sponged in black on the top and right hand edges before I popped the finished panel up on it, aligning it so that the black edges were visible.

Will you ‘Rock Around The Clock’ with us this week?  All the details are over on the Time Out blog … where there’s also a ton of inspiration from our fabulous DT and our talented Guest Designer, the lovely Hazel! Look forward to seeing you in the gallery!

Oh my goodness…you are brilliant! Seriously, this is the best interpretation ever. How creative to use that stamp to create the hands of a clock. I would have never thought to do that. Oh, how you have inspired me today!

Anita, I am MADLY in love with your funky clock!! I am so glad you don’t have any clock stamps. Necessity is truly the mother of invention. This is so graphic, creative, and beautifully designed. You must have felt pretty darn good about this one : )
