Hey yall!!  Welcome to the first day of Kraftin Kimmie peeks for February!  Today the Krafty girls are inking up Gandolf and Galadriel!  I'm just going to say right now that when these movies are in the theaters…. Mom gets a quiet night at home, lol!!!  BUT Gandalf does make a GREAT masculine card!!!!  I used this months KKS Sketch to get my Mojo going and it was a perfect fit for this card.  I was having a hard time finding a place for the sentiment… it's not teeny, lol, so I "sliced" it up and it fit perfectly.  This is a great thing to do with larger sentiments… it keeps them from becoming the focal point!  I also found some fun Washi Tape that seemed like it really fit, so I used it for the vertical strip and then added a little piece next to Gandalf.

After coloring him with Copics, he still seemed a little flat to me, maybe it was all of that Grey!  anyway, I took a Black Spica Glitter pen and followed some of the folds on his gown and hat… IRL, it looks great (I promise!!!!  You're gonna have to take my word on it because I just can't seem to get a good photo!).  So I grabbed a Silver Spica and added some waves down his hair, and finally a Gold Spica for some waves on his Staff.  Well that's all I have for you today, be sure to hop around and visit the rest of the Krafty Girls!  Thanks for popping by, hope to see you tomorrow for another Krafty Peek!

  1. I’m sure Gandalf sparkles IRL! Love the idea of using the glitter pens to make him seem magical! Great idea cutting up the sentiment like that…I will have to do that some time!

  2. Gorgeous!! Love the papers; perfect for Gandalf the Gray. And I LOVE how you did the sentiment. It really does take away the bigness of it and shows it off in a great way without making it the focal point.
