Silhouette Custom Train T-Shirt

So I have had my Silhouette about 2 weeks now, and the only think I had made was lettering for a poster project for school (which turned out nice), but pretty boring.  I have had lots of ideas and even stocked up on the materials I would need (white and black vinyl, frosted glass, fabric transfer, and sketch pens), but have yet to use any of them, until tonight.

My nephew's 3rd birthday is coming up next week, and its a train theme.  So I decided to make a train t-shirt for him.  I thought of using plaid fabric with a caboose cutout, but that seemed to similar to the shirts you would see in a store.  Then I remembered I had white flocked iron on material that came free with my Silhouette, and I decided to make a custom shirt.

So I searched online until I found a train themed font. Originally I was looking for train track letters, but found this cute font on FontSpace.com.

So I downloaded the font and added it to the Silhouette program. The only specifications is to use a capitol letter when typing to create the caboose. You just have to remember to do the mirror image of your final product before you cut.  Then comes the hard part, after cutting I spent about 30 minutes removing the fine cut negatives from my design with a tiny tweezer.  Then I ironed it on.  I think the material is meant for a t-shirt press, but I only had my regular iron. I used a paper towel to place between the transfer sheet and the iron, because my first attempt with a pillowcase between failed to adhere the flocked material.  I think the paper towel was thin enough for the heat to go through. Hold for 60 seconds, then let cool, and peel away.  Here is my final product.
