really liked it
bookshelves: british-books-challenge, mystery

New to me author and series, I enjoyed the casual approach by the 'sleuth'. Our protagonist, Kate Ivory, is working on a historical mystery novel when she becomes involved in the murder of one of her running group members. Stallwood kept me guessing close to the reveal, then wrapped it up with the dramatic ending worthy of the crime.

I won't hesitate at picking up another of Stallwood's novels when I'm in the mood for more time spent with our realistic heroine and her romantic interests.
