Welcome, welcome! I am so beyond excited to bring you a super simple but LOVELY Christmas craft perfect to add to your Christmas tree, a wall hanger, or to place on your table. However you display this sweet little craft, it will be eye catching and beeeeautiful to look at.
Made with gorgeous flowers and satin ribbon, this is one of my favorite crafts this season. You will be shocked at how easy these little topiaries are to make. If you can operate a hot glue gun and use a little finger muscle…oh and tie a simple bow, you are sure to master this project and have so much fun while doing it.
Let’s begin. All you need are a bunch, like 20 or 30 depending on the size, of your favorite flowers, a strip of coordinating satin ribbon, a couple of styrofoam balls (I got mine at WalMart), and hot glue. With these easy supplies, you are ready to turn a styrofoam ball into a lovely Christmas decoration.
Start by placing hot glue on the back of one flower. Place flower on styrofoam ball and hold until secure. Be careful…the glue is hot.
Continue gluing flowers all over the ball. I overlapped my petals just a bit so you couldn’t see any white from the styrofoam ball under the flowers.
Glue, glue, glue until the ball is covered in beautiful flowers.
Done gluing! Great job!
Cut a strip of your satin ribbon.
Glue one end on top of the other to create a loop.
Push some of your flower petals up and glue loop directly to the ball.
Tie a simple bow and glue bow to the base of the ribbon.
All done!
Isn’t this topiary so gorgeous? I absolutely love the elegance and beauty of this pretty little decoration.
These topiaries are so easy, you can create multiple topiaries in no time at all. To create my second topiary, I used gorgeous red Tulle Roses, but you could use any of our fabulous flowers. They are all stunning and come in beautiful colors. Some even have a lovely gem embellishment.
Look at those gorgeous tulle roses.
Have so much fun creating your topiaries. They make lovely decorations for the holidays or for everyday decor to spruce up a wall or table in your home.
I can’t believe that Christmas Day is less than one week away. I am loving the Christmas chatter happening all around our festive town, sweet neighborhood…but mainly in my lovely home. We have been singing Christmas songs at the top of our lungs and getting ready to bake Mr. Claus dozens and dozens of yummy, yummy cookies! My kiddos are also so excited to pass along our neighbor gifts and to help me complete a few more Christmas crafts!
Are you singing, baking and crafting away as well? Here are some more wonderful Christmas crafts just for you! They are fun, festive and most importantly EASY to create!
I absolutely love to craft with lovely flowers. What is your favorite craft supply to create projects with?
