Sunday 7 December 2014

Welcome to a slightly soggy Sunday!

Morning and welcome to an unfestive Sunday - i.e. it's WET!

I was out to a festive dinner yesterday evening with a pal (LIZ) and a cousin (DEBRA) - we went to a local restaurant and enjoyed our evening tremendously - hey, food was great too .... a nice steak and chips and a really tasty baklava for dessert - we rolled out of there (food related NOT drink!) a couple of hours later and headed home. I was driving and Liz had been dropped at mine so I headed straight home .... we found the hubby's deep in I.T. conversation as Liz' hubby had brought his lap top for Mr K to have a look at! This continued for a couple more hours whilst Liz and I quaffed tea and put the World to rights!!!

On to more craft stuff ......

Di always has a "snippets challenge" over at Pixie's Crafty Workshop and here is this week's take on this challenge ...... it was also designed with the new monthly challenge over on Craftbubble2½ (registration required) group Craft Mad & Loving It, where the new challenge is: "EXCESS" and where the criteria is to use more than one PLUS either glitter or sequins! And for the challenges at: Kraftin' Kimmie's "TAG, you're it" and the "Anything Christmas" challenge over at Pink Gem

My batch of tags
And a closer view to show the twinklification of the Crafters Companion glitter spray!

Here's how this morning's project started life!

With the back stamped and ready to roll!

Materials used:
  • Snippets of white card die cut using a Go Kreate fancy tag die
  • Reverse of tag stamped using a Fiskars "To" and "From" image and Ranger Archival jet black ink
  • Front of tag stamped using my gorgeous Sparkle 'n Sprinkle festive crows image and Versafine onyx black ink - for a darker black image
  • Copic Atyou Spica glitter pen in red - to colour the crows hats
  • Crafters Companion Spray and Sparkle (silver) glitter spray to both protect and twinklify! my tags!

And there you have it .... a snippets project which features more than one (more than one tag, more than one crow) PLUS plenty of glitter!

Darnell reckoned my super duper crows looked like drinking glasses with hats so .... I'm going to try to enlarge and see if they become "CROW-ier"!!!

Have a great Sunday peeps - hope it's more festive where you are .... fa la la la lah!

Terrific tags Kathy. Glad you are enjoying your weekend despite not feeling 100%.

Weather has cheered up here and the sun has dropped by for a while. Was dull and dreary earlier though.

Hugs, Sarn xxx

I'm not sure what this surgery did for my eyes. At first glance at your adorable tags, I thought those were drinkie poo glasses with Santa hat stirrers!! Thank goodness for the click feature. Now I'm not a fan of crows, but yours look like a fun group of party birds!! Hope you get some sun soon! Happy Holiday Hugs, Darnell

Love these tags. Great image.
I just go through the verification and press publish. Sometimes I have to confirm it but that is it!

Too funny Kathy - I also thought these were drinking glasses. Now I see they're rather handsome crows - and such fun as well!!

Sorry I'm a bit late calling by, not supposed to be peering at laptop really but wanted to just check that the Playground hasn't been overrun by naughty elves!!

Hugs

Di xx
