CASology #83 (Jump), One Layer Simplicity #2 (Can You Repeat That?), SSS Monday 17/2 (A Cameo Appearance), Winnie & Walter 17/2 (February)

The weather’s changed a bit here … it’s no longer wild and windy, wet and stormy … for now.  We’ve had some sunshine … and blue skies … and bulbs are coming up.  I’m feeling spring like and frivolous … rather like this card …

CASology 83, OLS 2, SSSM 17-2, W&W Feb

CASology‘s Cue Card this week is Jump.  Frolicking sheep?  Does it for me … especially leaping playfully over the loopy ‘h’ … at least two have made it without mishap, wonder if the rest will?  Happily, this is a one layer card and it has sheep repeated on it … so it’s going to bounce over to One Layer Simplicity‘s Can You Repeat That challenge (it’s rather more frivolous than my usual OL cards but that’s springtime for you!)  Said sheep are making a Cameo Appearance on this flower strewn hill, so they’ll do the same at Simon Says Stamp Monday … and as I’ve used one of Winnie & Walter‘s sentiments, I’m joining in at their February linky party too.

I hand cut a hill mask, sponged the meadow and added the W&W sentiment.  Those eagle eyed types among you will notice that there’s a flourish on my ‘happy’ that isn’t on the original stamp.  I turned the stamp upside down and stamped the ‘y’ flourish onto the ‘h’ … it gave the word some balance on that curvy hill.  There were a lot more flowers in the meadow to begin with … it’s just that the Penny Black sheep made their way across it, eating as they leapt.  They’re so happy that they’re sporting their party wool … all shimmery and shiny with Wink of Stella … and it’s rubbed off on the sentiment too … must’ve been while they were eating (does that sound like a good title for a movie??).

I’m delighted to say hello to some new friends tonight … Katie at arteKatie, who has an eclectic, eco-friendly and fabulously original style … Christine at Poppaea Cards,  who has a plethora of CAS cards to delight you … and Shona from Twine Around, who started blogging last September and already has a site full of deliciousness!  Meander over for a visit to all three and enjoy!  Welcome, ladies … and thank you 🙂

I’m off for a wander through blogland to see what everyone’s been creating.  Thanks so much  for coming by, your visits and comments are always a joy!  Anita 🙂

Not baaaaaaaad! What I really meant to say was Really Good! These little lambie pies are a hoot! All dressed up and celebrating spring (if only it felt like that here!). Love that W&W set. Very ingenious of you to add the flourish from the “Y”. I love this, and I’m pretty sure you’ve got a winner here! Will try to get to more emails tomorrow. : )

Being from New Zealand, this card really speaks to me!!!! Absolutely love it, the sheep are so cute. And what a brilliant idea to put the flourish on the other side of the ‘happy’ stamp, thats genius and it really does balance it out with the curve. 3 challenges with one card, I need to get more organised and do that! Thank you so much for mentioning me in your blog post, that was so lovely of you. I must say that I’m really enjoying the blogging experience and meeting such wonderful crafting people in the blogging world. My daughter is having a lovely 9th birthday, her goldfish died the other day so we have just been out and bought some tadpoles, so they will be great to follow with their froggy changes. Look forward to your next post!!!

I really love this card, so very whimsical. Glad your weather is improving. I have not done any challenges blaming it on my card making group which keeps me busy. My best.

Yep,…slam dunk winner! Not only because these leaping little ovines are too cute for words but also for your sheer cleverness in the flawless addition of another swirl to the “happy” word! Seriously, beyond cutie-patootie!

Awesome job masking & inking the meadow!

I’m running late with my comments, but here I am, giggling in delight at the ‘herd of happiness’ chapeau-ed and flower-toting sheep, leaping through the meadow. How darling they are – and I’m doing everything possible not to lapse into silly puns! Let’s just say: Ewe’ve certainly rocked these challenges! Definitely winners – not only for those challenges – but especially in brightening this ‘missing the kids’ day! You. are. the. best! Hugs~c

I’m quite sure that I’m nearly at 100% when it comes to calling your cards to the Winner’s Circle! These wee frolicking ovines must have known that they were destined for some HM ribbons and were no doubt celebrating their shout-out well in advance of the medal ceremony! Congrats!

Seriously, Anita, I love this card so much!! Your curved happy is just perfect, and I LOVE your added swish to it. So smart! How funny that the sheep is jumping over your “h” since that letter sticks up … great designing there. I can honestly say I’m leaving a little more happy, so your card really works : )
