Quickie post for today. I managed to create this card while DH was busy setting up two more monitors by his workstation (he’s already got 3 monitors but he figured he could use 2 more). I figured I could sneak in a card while he “played” with his new toys — I have a ton of reading and assignments to do but I REALLY needed a break from it all. My card needed to be quick and simple to do, though. On black cardstock, I stamped images from the VIGNETTE: Eclectic Florals set in white ink, stuck sequins in the center of the flowers and rounded the bottom corners of the card. I was literally done in 5 minutes and my stamping/crafting craving has been satisfied — for now.
I figured my card fits the current challenge at CASology — contrast (white and black). And this card can be a Valentine’s Day card or an any-occasion card so I’m going to enter it to a few more fun challenges: One Layer Simplicity Challenge #1 – Restocking the Shelves (Oh boy, this is the 5th card I entered there and I hope it’s okay! I really love one layer cards.); Addicted to Stamps and More #79 – CAS; Addicted to CAS #30 – New (I used new cardstock); Delightful Challenges – You Have My Heart (Use a Heart); Scrapbooker PhD Challenge #6 – Use (at least) 2 Stamps; and CASE Study Challenge #175 (it’s my first time participating here and the black and sequins in Donna’s card inspired my card).
Oh, and I want to mention also that there is a new challenge sneak peek at TIME OUT Challenges! Please check out this brand-new challenge blog that my friends Sandie and Nonni created. Two more challenge sneak peeks and a DT call next week! It’s going to be a really fun challenge blog is all I can say :-)
Thank you very much-o for stopping by!
