Papertrey Ink Make It Monday- Go to Sentiment Card

Here is the card I created for Papertrey Ink’s first Make it Monday. It’s a soft toned birthday card made with their vellum cardstock, some sweet blush and spring moss for the base. I used birthdays sentiments from 7 different stamp sets and the main image and main sentiment are from the Sweet Pea-Year of Flowers set. I stamped and then embossed the image on the vellum using white embossing powder. To accent the flowers and leaves I colored them in using a thin brush and some pink and green distress ink. The background sentiments were embossed using clear embossing powder. I love this look; you get the effect of a “go to card” without having the background overpower the main sentiment.
