Great is Thy Faithfulness

Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth, thy own dear presence to cheer and to guide; Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow, Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside!

Great is thy faithfulness! Great is thy Faithfulness! Morning by Morning New mercies I see; All I have needed is thy hand hath provided — Great is thy faithfulness, Lord unto me!

It is after the storm and everyone struggles. Everyone is trying to place two and two together. Yet God in His unending mercy, help us. He is faithful even amidst the hardest of times. He never leaves our side.

His pardon of our sins because of Jesus dying on the cross so we can have eternal life. He died so that we could live. He died so that we would have a personal relationship with Jesus.

The refrain of this great hymn rings true in a survivors life. God remains faithful even when we struggle amidst the hardness of our lives.  He gives us new mercies every day and mornings. He gives us joy and peace.

5 For His anger is but for a moment, but His favor is for a lifetime or in His favor is life. Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.

Yet to those who have survived it may seem God is angry but He isn’t. I am really wanting to concentrate on the last part of this verse. b because we may weep during the night and it may last many mornings, but joy always comes in the Morning. He will give you joy at the most unexpected times. He gives you joy. He is faithful even when it is hard, and nothing is not going the way it should. He is there and faithful. The Joy will come. It comes so quickly it is best to grasp that moment. That moment when you need it.

When life after a disaster has hit families hard. He is there already walking through with you. He was there that night.

He has begun the journey with you. He will continue the journey with you. He will never ever leave your side. He is faithful, and he will complete the journey with you, even when it seems dark and hard to find your way. Remember he is a light. A light in an unbelievable place. A Light to guide you.

I know how hard it is to be a survivor and the struggles at the beginning of the journey. The struggles as you clean up your life, and how he is with you even when cleaning up from the homes. He is with you and guides you in what you really need to keep and what to throw away. Cling to Him in all your areas of need. He will come through. No matter what.

He is faithful. He will always be faithful even when we struggle to be faithful ourselves.
