Papertrey April Blog Hop Challenge

Popping in today to participate in the PTI April Blog Hop! Its been a very LONG time since I got the chance to participate in the PTI bloghops so grabbing the chance when I can! The challenge is to have something Tilted on your card.

Here is my card for the bloghop:

EmbossResistCongrats

Supplies:

Cardstock: PTI white
Stamps: PTI Square Prints, PTI Congrats All the Way, TE You are my Hero
Inks: Memento inks, Distress inks
Tools: DIY inkpad, Tsukineko embossing powder, heat tool

Whats tilted here? The sentiment ofcourse 🙂

I heavily used the Emboss Resist technique on my card. First I stamped and embossed the squares on the two banners in the top right corner. I used Versamark ink to stamp the squares from PTI’s Square Prints set and Tsukineko white powder to emboss them. Then I used a combination of distress inks and Memento inks in varying color shades and sponged over the embossed squares. Once I had the color shades I wanted, I took a cloth and rubbed over the banners to remove the ink from the embossing. Cut out the banner shapes and adhered them to the top right corner of the card.

The tilted Congrats sentiment is done with the same technique. The sentiment is from PTI Congrats All The Way set. I used the TE You are my Hero stamp set for the splatters and my Ranger Inkssentials Cut-N-Dry Stamp Pad Foam. I’m getting quite a bit of reuse out of it not to mention some super easy rainbow stamping! Also used some Tattered Rose Distress Ink for the pink blush effect.

Hope you liked the card!  If you are here visiting me from the bloghop then WELCOME! Do leave me a comment so I can visit you back and see what you made for the hop 🙂
