Chunky Bead Necklace Tutorial

Chunky Bead Necklaces are very popular this year with the young ones.

Lots of little girl outfits seem to be paired with one. However I find they get kind of expensive, especially when you have two daughters and they want one to match each of their outfits.

I made four chunky bead necklaces, two for each of my daughters. They were very simple and inexpensive to make. I put together a little tutorial so that you can create some too for the special little lady in your life.

Instructions:

Step 1: Cut the appropriate length of wire needed to make your necklace with the help of your wire cutters.

Step 2: Insert a crimp bead and the first part of the necklace clasp to one end of the wire.

Step 3: Loop the end of the wire into your crimp and use your crimping tool to crimp it.

Step 4: Take the other end of your wire and start beading your necklace.

Step 5: Once you have enough beads on your wire, insert another crimp bead at the end of the wire and then place the other end of your necklace clasp into the wire.

Step 6: Loop the wire into the crimp bead and crimp it with your crimping tool.

Pretty cute right?  My daughters LOVE them.

Gabrielle has asked me to make her a purple chunky bead necklace. I better go back to the store and buy some purple beads. I might even make a few for myself, if I can pull the look off.

If you would like to make a more subtle necklace, this DIY charm necklace will do the trick.

Have a FABULOUS day!

Where can I get these beads in bulk? I know michaels carry some but would like a bigger selection and order more at once
