Freezing in the door, she wondered what she had done wrong. Miz Megrete told her if she did things in order, Max would be hers. She had gathered herbs, lit the appropriate candles and read the required words, expecting to find Max on his knees, begging for her hand in marriage. But when the smoke cleared, she found herself face to face with a belligerent cat. She wanted her money back!

  2. Bravo! A really original submission on this photo prompt. Way to go girl.

  3. Sunshine says:

Oh, dear…hope she got her money back!!

  4. Now that was unique. However, she might be happier in the long run with the cat.
    Happy Christmas,

See, I think she got a good deal here… 🙂 Nice one.

  7. Russell says:

Love potion #9 Lives I suppose. Very clever. At least now he wil be pampered, have all his wants and needs met, and not have to work for a living. Not a bad deal.

  8. rich says:

and i would want my money back too if i were in that situation. stand your ground! and well done.

  9. billgncs says:

maybe she just didn’t follow instructions well. I always start out then read the instructions after it is done and not working! Merry Christmas

  10. She might be best just to keep the cat and forget the rest.

  11. glossarch says:

Oops! Careful with those love potions! I wonder if she’ll keep the cat.

  12. Got me chuckling. Definitely a money-back situation. I was thinking you might want her “freezing in the doorway” rather than “in the door”, although with a witch, you never can tell.

    Merry, merry Christmas.

  13. Be careful what you wish for….and forget about the money. I have a feeling you got the better deal. Thanks for the chuckle. Merry Christmas to you and yours!

  14. wmqcolby says:

I’d want my money back, too! Funny story. Thanks!

  15. Sarah Ann says:

Lovely story. Hopefully Max will see she’s the woman for him without the need for charms and herbs?

  16. Tom Poet says:

A great take on the prompt. Nice job

    Tom

  17. Parul says:

Unless Max was the belligerent cat staring at her! She might have to spend more money on whatever magic caused this to revert the damage! lol
    Nice take on the prompt.
    Merry Christmas!
