As you gain new books you learn new words. And I love that the BOB Books build on words that you know. They are great for kids who are just learning that need simple sentences and easy words to decode or remember.

Each build gives you more decodable words and simple sight words. You build up their reading skills with each book. These printables are something fun to go along with the books. You can work on writing, spelling, word recognition, and more.

These are just a few of the items that we use with the BOB Books printables. How you use them may vary.

Ways to use the BOB Books Set 1 Printabes

I’m going to show you a few ways to use these printables.

The read, write, and stamp pages are a great way to review all the new words in the book. You can see there are three words per page. I like to have them trace in pencil and then stamps the letters of the word. We use blue for consonants and red for vowels.

The dot marker are great to use the word paths. They are super fun for kids to use as well. You just follow the word all the way through the maze.

You can use the make words with or without the key. But the key can be handy when you are just starting out. The sounds all match up to the start of each book with what sounds kids are working on.

You can use the writing pages for them to pick one sentence in the book with that word to write.

I always print the cube cards on cardstock. Each new book has only the new words in that book in the set. That means you can build all the sentences from the book.
