Since my dining room has been "under construction"
I haven't done a tablescape
in a very very long time...
I thought it was about time to dust the dishes off...
these new plates
were a summer garage sale find...
the gold rim
makes them hard for me to think about using
in any season except fall...
the garden bouquets are getting smaller...
these precious blooms are tucked
into silver salt and pepper shakers...
I think the gold tones in the tarnished silver
mix well with the gold rim of the plates...
a silver platter and a gold rimmed china platter
pair up for the base of my centerpiece...
a potpourri of roses,
fresh and dry
mixed with local acorns...
soft fall light...
candlelight...
fall roses...

Oh I just love your diningroom! I can't get enough :) Love the round table--makes me happy about the new round table I just got for my covered deck seating! The rose tucked around the candle look so pretty. My roses are long gone :) I miss them! I also think we have the same chandelier--I love it. Courtney from feathered nest has 2 of them--my favorite chandelier :)
Lots of pretty on your table! I love all your lit candles and delicious silver. Love those rose plates too. Everything is so soft and romantic. Have I seen that floaty chandelier? Dreamy! I'm glad you have your room back!
There is no more roses in my Parisian garden, but yours are so sweet. Love the styling and the pictures : could I have some more please !!

Gorgeous photos. Soft and romantic. Valerie
Hello Bella
I like the cherub centrepiece with the pink rosebuds surrounding it. The candlelight sure makes for a dreamy looking tablescape and a clever way to repurpose a salt shaker.

Good morning Bella,
Your tablescape is so beautiful and dreamy. I love how the light spills over the table and everything looks so soft and serene. Gorgeous chandelier! Love your pink roses in the silver shaker and the candles. The plates are very pretty too.
It is a pleasure to visit you, my friend, and thank you for sharing this at my HOME. Have a lovely weekend.

Dreamy, Bella. Love your new dishes and all of your special little touches. So very Bella. xx
So beautiful, Bella! I love the pink pressed glass, and the Homer Laughlin plates are so lovely. In spring, when there isn't much to pick in the garden, I like using salt and pepper shakers to hold tiny bouquets. Yours look lovely, and the autumn centerpiece is perfect! Wishing you a lovely weekend. With apologies for not having visited in awhile...
Soft and Calming Photos. Your lovely Homer Laughlin china is a wonderful find. I'm glad you shared the idea of the silver shakers as a vase for I will certainly use this one. The silver tray and pretty platter are a lovely basis for the flowers and acorns! I love to use acorns for fall and they are also part of my table this week. Have a happy Thanksgiving!
Thanks, Pam
Hi Bella,
This is a lovely table!!! Are these some of the Gertrude Jekyll roses? I love your Homer Laughlin plates, the embroidered napkins, beautiful old silver, the potpourri, and of course your roses. The candlelight sets everything off to perfection.
Thanks so much for your visit. I agree with you -- I think Gertrude is a beauty. :) I love the color, and the fragrance is divine. I imagine yours does much better than ours; the roses like your climate in Washington much better than here in the hot, humid south.
I hope you have a nice weekend and a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Hugs,

Gorgeous table scape. Love the white tablecloth. Such a beautiful setting.
