Table for 2 at the River Dacha

Happy Holidays and Tablescape Thursday!  I apologize for my blog absence.  I  wanted to share the new paint color on the cabin and the new Dutch Door.  I am happy with the dark green paint and the way it sets off the vibrant red door and window shutters.  I plan on adding planter boxes to the front and side windows.
This past weekend, I arranged a table for two on the front porch.

I hope you enjoyed the photos.  I am looking forward to decorating the cabin for its first Christmas.  Please stay tuned.  For more creative and unique table setting ideas, please visit Susan's Tablescape Thursdays at Between Naps On The Porch.

Can you hear me shrieking and envision me running all around waving my hands joyfully in the air?!??! That's the way I feel when I look at this table AND that fabulous Dutch door!!!! Oh, my goodness!!! That door is the coolest! I haven't seen one like that for a lot of years. I think my first glimpse of a Dutch door was on the old TV show "Mr. Ed" back in the 1960s. (I was watching from wherever it is babies hang out before they're conceived, of course, because I can't be that old!!!) I always loved that style! As for your table...magnifique! The rich colors are just what the doctor ordered, and your floral arrangement is so sumptuous!!! I love the addition of the straw(?) mat to kind of break up the color and add a touch of whimsy. So pretty!!!!!!!!!! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving, and great to see you back!

Is anything as charming as a Dutch door? My grandmother had one for her kitchen door, and I've always wanted one! Your gorgeous tartan also caught my eye -- love it!

Julio! Long time no see!

You have put us all in the shade as usual. These photos should be in a magazine, and I can't wait to see what you do for Christmas. Hope you are entering this in Tartanscot's contest!

Your photos are so pretty of your cabin with the red door and lovely green. The tablescape is very elegant with a touch of plaid. The luxurious china and crystal is beautiful and coordinates well with the tablecloth. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Julio, I'm your newest follower. Wow, do I love this table for two. Love all the tartan details. I saw the tartan candles at Target, but didn't bring any home. I knew I'd regret that frugal decision. This post makes me want to rush out early in the morning to see if they are still available. May I pin this table? Thanks for sharing the inspiration. ~ Sarah

Thank God, I thought you decided to live in Europe and never look back.
Just in time for Christmas.
So as for this post, can you really call that a cabin? The shocking red dutch door is amazing. I can not wait to see what you have done inside. Hurry please.
