My gallery wall is finished! Or maybe I should say, it’s finished until I decided to add or change something {which, knowing me, will happen sooner rather than later!}! Before I share the entire thing though, I wanted to share the silhouettes that I made of our family for the gallery wall. Now, I’ve seen silhouettes all over Pinterest and was a little intimidated by them at first – I thought they’d be complicated or require a Silhouette {ha ha} machine, but I was totally wrong… they are very easy to make and I love that they really add something special to any gallery wall display.
I started by taking a profile picture of each family member and printing it up on my inkjet printer. Then I shrank them slightly on a photocopier. You can probably do this on your computer, but I have no idea how. Then I simply outlined each photo with a black sharpie and cut it out carefully with an exacto knife. The mouth was the hardest part to cut out, but you just have to make sure you go over it carefully a few times and don’t get too impatient.
Here’s the one of my husband that’s been cut out.
After you have cut out all of your silhouettes, all you need to do is glue them onto some white card stock {I used a glue stick} and stick them in your frames.

I just love them and find myself walking down the hall now, just so I can admire them!

I’m so into silhouettes! This is just perfect for accuracy. Not all cutters can get a true likeness. Super idea! Saw you over at Debbie Doos! Happy Monday
