A little Bling for the Phalanges

I just love that word - phalanges. It's fun to say. But technically this bling isn't on the phalanges. That would imply that it's actually on the fingers and toes. But that's a much "funner" word to say than toenails or fingernails, right? So we'll stick with phalanges.

I realize it's not summer time anymore but one should still keep up on their grooming. Right? So when my daughter wanted me to paint her nails this seemed like so much fun. And it's super easy (which is always a plus in our home.)

I found some glitter. You can use any kind of glitter, I don't think it matters.

My daughter loves the color aqua right now. I think she just likes to say aqua so that's why she likes it. Hmmmm, where does she get those little quirks???

Anyways... we painted a coat of aqua fingernail polish on her little phalanges. When the nail polish was still wet we dipped her fingers in the glitter. Simple as that!

We blew on the glitter to get the loose glitter off and then painted a coat of clear nail polish over the top.

For some strange reason my daughter doesn't like her toes and her fingers to be the same color (I have no idea why) so we put a coat of orange nail polish on her toes and did the same steps. She LOVED them!

Heck, I loved them! So we did my toes next =o)

Aww! My baby loves twinkle toes! But she makes me do them for her like my clients... With the light and the "real" product... I will try this with her, maybe it will pass her "toddler-standard" :)
Thanks for linking up to Making It With Allie! I can't wait to see what you have for next week!

My girls will love this! They're always disappointed by the glitter nailpolishes we buy because they're not glittery enough. Looks like pedicures are in our near future.

Thanks so much for linking up to my Summer Fun party.

I love the girlie toes, but what I love best of all is the side picture of your little girlie dressed in her best costume for school! My little girlie who is nearly 21 now, packed her own bags for a vacation once when she was about that tall...and all she packed was dress ups and costumes and clean undies! We were on the road for two weeks in Texas. :)
