When I was in Chicago, I went shopping with one of my besties to our favorite thrift store - Savers. There were a lot of good things there, as usual, but I couldn't buy much, since I was limited by suitcase transportation.
I did find some treasures, that were nowhere near each other, but that seem to have been born from the same mother.
This French looking clock for $2.00
and
this metal art type thing for $2.99
The clock is operated by a regular AA battery, but it doesn't seem to work. Anyone know how to fix a cheapo made in china battery operated type clock?
Still trying to decide where they will go in the house. I should start packing as me and Abby are going camping tonight with my sister in law and kids (this is their last weekend before school), while our husbands are driving together to attend the funeral of their uncle.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend. Hugs,

I keep hearing such awesome things about Home Goods. Is it like a Target or Marshall's? I love the Paris piece...great thrift finds!
ReplyDeleteThey don't have Home Goods in CA? Oh no! Its a mix of Marshalls, Target, Pottery Barn. It's definitelly cheaper than the latter.
ReplyDeleteThese are super awesome finds! I can't wait to see where you put them!
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of that...I miss you and we need to get together. Are your kids going back to school?
DeleteI like both pieces. I think one must be able to buy cheap clockworks if you need to replace it. I've never been to Savers. Will have to try it.
ReplyDeleteYou should totally go with Lindsay Moss, because that's one of her favorite stores and she always finds the best things ever.
DeleteThanks for the heads up, Iuliana! I'll ask Lindsay about it.
DeleteHow fun! I am totally on a french kick lately.....Oh, and we do have Home Goods in California. Santa Clara and Gilroy are the ones I've been too.....love them!
ReplyDeleteLove the clock! Has such a wonderful vintage look to it.
